For Patients

RESEARCH

  • In order to improve our understanding of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and develop better approaches for treating intestinal inflammation, we try to learn as much as we can from patient samples. Patients interested in participating in research please email [email protected] or our clinical research coordinator [email protected].
  • We are currently enrolling in two studies:
    • 1-"Immunoprofiling of the blood and intestine and creation of a gut cell atlas". For this study, we are recruiting patients with and without Inflammatory Bowel Disease. This study involves a small peripheral blood draw, brief questionnaire, and additional biopsies at the time of your upcoming endoscopic procedure. Using these samples, we are studying the genes, proteins, cells, and microbes that contribute to inflammation in the intestine.
    • 2-"Pilot study on the role of A20 in the etiology and pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease”. For this study we are also recruiting patients with and without Inflammatory Bowel Disease. This study involves a small peripheral blood draw, brief questionnaire, and additional biopsies at the time of your upcoming endoscopic procedure. Using these samples, we are studying the genes and proteins that contribute to inflammation in the intestine, with a particular focus on the genes A20 and ABIN-1.
